Director
Lori
started teaching when she became hooked on the hustle and
social dancing. She then branched off to all different styles
of partner dance. At the end of the last millennium, a renewed
love of hustle inspired her to start her monthly New York
City Millennium Hustle parties, featuring a mix of contemporary
and classic Hustle, Salsa, Cha Cha and West Coast Swing. Because
of its popularity, it has blossomed into New York City's Premier
Hustle Party. Lori and Millennium Hustle were recently featured
on the History Channel series: "Our Generation, The Disco
Years". For more info, check out LoriBrizzi.com.
'As the event director of the popular annual event "The
New York Hustle Congress", she is very happy
to announce that this year's Saturday night charity called
the Circle of Love will be affectionately
called 'Hustle for the Hounds'. As supporters
and members of many animal rights and rescue organizations,
Lori and her BFF, Bonnie Herbert Diaz, hope to raise funds
to help animals in need.
This
will be the 5th year "The New York Hustle Congress has
been held at the New York Hilton on Labor Day weekend.'
As
a dancer, Lori has won numerous dance championships in various
styles, including: International Latin, Theater Arts, and
Cabaret. Lori is a 2 time winner of the Zachary's Dance Contest,
Sabado Gigante and the Daily News Mambo Contest. She has been
a featured performer of such prestigious dance companies as
"American Ballroom Theater" and "Swing Dance
America". Lori has been the floor show at many New York
City night clubs, made numerous TV and movie appearances,
and has taught and performed all over the world, including
on four continents and at least two oceans. One day she hopes
to be the first hustle dancer on the moon.
